Pretorian troop truck, almost done!

Well the troop truck is almost finished and ready to be sent off. Just got to attatch the wheels and track components and its ready to go. I'll be sad to see this go, but its been a great (if lengthy) build.
The weapons are to be mounted by the new owner, so Ive left room for them in the open weapon port at the front and on top of the roof.

  1. How do you make those brilliant looking hatch handles/ levers?

  2. Well the levers and hatches are quite simple, but a little fiddly. They largely use plasticard ofcuts, as i dont like to throw anything away, much to my families dismay.

I might start casting them as they are very time consuming to reproduce, especially 4 or 5 times over a model.

I will try and get a short tutorial on how they are done posted up over the weekend.

  3. Solid work. Where do you get that grill material from? Ebay is resistant to all the search terms I can come up with...

  4. Thanks. I actually got the mesh for the grill from a friend, I'm not sure exactly where he got it, but I think it was from somewhere like halfords or some other autoparts centre. I will ask him and get back to you.
